A simple thermodynamic model for the solubility of thermolabile solids in supercritical fluids

چکیده
An equation-of-state (EoS) scheme to correlate the solubility of solids in supercritical fluids is presented. The solute fugacity coefficient obtained using pure-solvent compressibility factor, and empirical solute-to-solvent parameter ratios cohesion factors covolumes. proposed method simpler than conventional EoS calculations since no iteration required. We retain link classical cubic mixing rules showcase application employing both Redlich-Kwong Peng-Robinson EoS. uses two adjustable parameters, which are computed from experimental data for several binary systems used predict solubilities. results have been favorably compared those by other methods. advantage EoS-based models over ones has emphasized cases where solubilities extrapolated beyond range data. proposal advantageous correlating thermolabile critical properties
